Tensile Integrity Inc. was founded in 2010 and provides a range of services for clients utilizing the fabric structures and tension structures. The word “Tensile” pertains to tension, or to be stretched or drawn out, and is a great analogy for our company’s thinking and capabilities.
We are able to “stretch” our services to cover a range of needs for our clients. We are also very flexible and active in the structural fabric industry, which keeps us attuned to the latest upgrades and trends.
Our location near Toronto, Ontario, Canada, gives us great access to companies throughout the world. As such, our reach, as well as our vision, is global.

James Gallagher
James Gallagher is the principal of Tensile Integrity Inc. James’ 30-plus years in the structural fabric industry provides him with a competitive edge.
Prior to founding Tensile, James was a managing partner at Robert Soper Limited and Soper Fabric Products Ltd. As owner of RSL since 1999, James maintained overall responsibility for the development of short- and long-term planning and implementation of corporate policy. He coordinated efforts of the financial, administrative, sales and marketing, manufacturing, and installation departments.
After becoming president of the SFP Architectural division, James’ role was to provide general oversight and review on all projects. This included design, pricing, material procurement, manufacturing and installation aspects of the project. Due to his true passion in this field and attention to detail, the development of quality assurance for product, service and process in this group resulted in a leading position in this niche market area.
To date, James has completed more than 150 architectural projects. He is also a founding member of the Fabric Structures Association, formerly known as the Light Structures Association.
